The Kaduna Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has declared that the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi cannot win the February 25th election.
According to El-Rufai, Obi has no chance of victory since he is not polling well nationwide, apart from in some parts of the South-East and South-South regions.
El-Rufai dismissed Obi’s popularity as he compared him to a Nollywood actor; noting that he won’t get enough votes to win.
He further said that votes from one Local Government Area in Kaduna could cancel out Mad Obi’s votes in Anambra State.
The governor went on to state that Obi will only poll about one percent in Sokoto and two percent in Katsina and five percent in Kano.
Also, El-Rufai suggested that voting based on ethnicity and religion will not take anyone anywhere; asserting that this election is really between APC and PDP as they are both strong contenders with a footprint across Nigeria.
Peter Obi will face off against Bola Tinubu of APC, Atiku Abubakar of PDP and Rabiu Kwankwaso of NNPP on the 25th of February.
