Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed that the club is making progress in their pursuit of signing a new striker.
After already spending a significant portion of their transfer budget on Andre Onana and Mason Mount, ten Hag is determined to address the team’s struggles in front of goal.
While Rasmus Hojlund is their top choice, the club is reluctant to spend more than £60m on the Danish player, while Atalanta is reportedly seeking £86m.
Despite the financial constraints, ten Hag remains optimistic and stated that the club is doing everything in their power to secure a striker.
He emphasized the importance of integrating the new player into the team’s style of play and expressed a desire to complete the signing as soon as possible.
Ten Hag also highlighted the need for goals to be spread across the team and believes that Mount’s arrival will contribute to this.
