Chelsea and Filip Jorgensen have reportedly sealed an agreement on personal terms, bringing the Blues a step closer to landing the 22-year-old goalkeeper from Villarreal.
Chelsea’s interest in Jorgensen is understandable considering they have struggled to find a consistent performer in recent years.
As a result, they have been actively searching for a reliable shot-stopper in this summer’s transfer window and Jorgensen has emerged as their top target.
The Swedish-born player began his youth career in Lomma, Sweden, before moving to Spain in January 2014.
After short spells at AD Penya Arrabal and RCD Mallorca, he joined Villarreal in July 2015.
Jorgensen made his first-team debut in December 2021 and became a regular in the 2023/24 season, missing only two La Liga games.
With personal terms already agreed, the only remaining step is for Chelsea to agree on a transfer fee with Villarreal.
