The Lagos State Government on Friday issued a statement with fresh updates on traffic diversions along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway due to ongoing rehabilitation.

Commencing from Monday 30th January until Friday 15th April 2023, shuttle routes to and from the expressway will be altered temporarily as the federal ministry of works reconstructs half of the Ibadan-bound carriageway.

Two lanes will be narrowed down while U-turns near the Lagos State Emergency Centre will be closed with lanes diverted at Old Tollgate and Traffic Point interchanges respectively.

Furthermore, trucks and heavy-duty vehicles must utilize exit points at Ojota Interchange only.

In addition, a contra flow system for CMD Road will be initiated for vehicles that intend to connect 7-UP and Motorways accessing through Caleb International School on the expressway.

Appropriate signage will be made available along the route to direct motorist in an orderly fashion whilst people are highly urged to abstain from uncontrollable stops and parking events along CMD Road.
