According to The Mail on Sunday, Manchester City will receive a whopping £166 million from Premier League central funds and prize money for their victory in the 2022/23 season.
This payout sets a new record for the highest amount earned by a winner in England’s top flight.
The improved overseas TV contracts from 2022-23 will contribute to this increase in earnings compared to last season’s £153 million payout when City won their fourth title in five years.
Arsenal, who secured second place, will receive £162.2 million.
The third and fourth place teams will earn £158.6 million and £156.8 million, respectively.
In total, the 20 clubs in the Premier League are expected to share around £2.7 billion from the league.
