Hundreds of Kaduna residents gathered at the gates of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Kaduna branch this morning as security forces were taking up positions.
It was 7:30 am when people with old currency bills came to make their deposits, following CBN’s order to deposit the notes by Friday, February 17th.
People standing in line for the deposit spoke to a Daily Post correspondent and voiced their frustration about not being attended even after meeting all requirements on Thursday.
Mrs Samson Ejira said that she came back today hoping they will be serviced while Mrs Rhoda Usman commented that they are confused in Kaduna over the use of old currencies and wondered why security operatives were lined up against them instead of bank staff attending to them.
