Ahead of the Ogun 2023 governorship election, former state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) gubernatorial candidate, Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, engaged in a closed-door meeting with high-ranking members of the party and supporters of both men.
The meeting was headed by NNPP state chairman Comrade Oginni Sunday Olaposu alongside Ajadi’s running mate Alhaja Shakirat Arowolo, Senatorial Candidate for Ogun Central Hon Kehinde Teluwo and Abeokuta South House of Assembly Candidate Hon Kilamuwaye Oladayo Badmus.
While the details of the meeting remain confidential, it is widely believed that it relates to strategies for campaigns ahead of the 2023 election.
Both leaders have been active in their respective political roles; Amosun has been representing his district in Senate while also organizing empowerment programs to distribute grinding machines, sewing machines and laptop/desktop computers to students respectively.
Meanwhile, as an entrepreneur and philanthropist, Ajadi has extended his reach to influential individuals in Ogun politics while carrying out campaigns across different districts in the State.
