The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, has reported a significant reduction in exam malpractice and impersonation in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) due to measures put in place by the board.
Oloyede expressed his satisfaction with the decrease in malpractice and impersonation nationwide, which is now below the international standard in terms of percentage.
He commended the conduct of the UTME nationwide and hailed Lagos centres for performing well.
Oloyede also addressed challenges in some states and noted JAMB’s commitment to visually-impaired candidates and those with disabilities.
While accredited CBT centres have improved, there is still room for improvement due to human factors.
The JAMB Registrar thanked the National Identity Management Commission, telcos, and other stakeholders for their support.
