The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced Abba Kabir Yusuf, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) candidate, as the winner of the governorship election in Kano State that was held last Saturday.
Yusuf defeated his close rival, All Progressive Congress (APC)’s Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, by a wide margin of over 100,000 votes.
Prof. Ahmad Doko Ibrahim officially declared the results at the INEC’s headquarters in Kano.
