Lagos announces diversion of traffic for President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit

In anticipation of President Muhammadu Buhari‘s two-day working visit to Lagos State on the 23rd and 24th of January, the state government have announced traffic diversions to pave way for his visit.

Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) officials have been mobilised to manage traffic flow during the period.

On the first day (23rd), movement around Imota Rice Mill in Ikorodu and Lekki Deep Port Sea axis will be restricted while on the second day (24th), movement around Eko Hotels and Suites, Ahmadu Bello Way, J-Randle, through Broad Street and Outer Marina will be diverted from 6am to 3pm.

Alternative routes are mapped out for motorists depending on their desired destinations like Akin Adesola Streets to Falomo Bridge, or Alfred Rewane Road. Motorists heading towards Onikan Roundabout or Tinubu Square may use Falomo Roundabout to link Alfred Rewane while those from King George V Road can take Moloney Street then Obalende.

Finally, those from Eko Bridge trying to link Marina can be diverted to Elegbata, Ebute Ero then Police Post before connecting causeway at Adeniji Adele Bridge.
