Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has drawn up a shortlist of six transfer targets this summer and is instructing the club to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona, according to reports.
United had an initial transfer fee for the Dutch midfielder agreed with Barca last summer, but the player refused to move.
Ten Hag has reportedly made De Jong’s signing a priority due to the Catalan club’s financial problems and continues to admire Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.
The United boss has also approved four other players, with a focus on signing a striker this summer.
Tottenham talisman Harry Kane, as well as Napoli frontman Victor Osimhen, have been long-term targets, while Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos and Mohammed Kudus – who Ten Hag coached at Ajax – have also gained admiration.
This period of restructuring will see Martial, Maguire and Telles all depart in the next window.
What do you think? Who should Man Utd sign this summer?
