Romelu Lukaku’s future is about to be formally discussed, as Inter Milan and Chelsea prepare for a meeting to manage the Belgian forward.
Lukaku has no intention of heading back to Stamford Bridge, keen on staying at the Nerazzurri.
With that, Inter will attempt to extend Lukaku’s stay with them for the coming season.
They paid €8 million plus an extra €3m in add-ons last summer for his loan contract, but his form and injury have shrouded his time there; scoring only two goals out of 11 apps.
Though Chelsea initially brought him on in a then-record deal of £97 million back in 2018, it is highly unlikely they will make much close to that upon his sale – which will likely be negotiated soon.
