He was later charged with 11 counts of fraud before a federal high court in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Despite his legal troubles, Marley’s music continued to make waves. While he was still in prison, Zlatan released the single “4 Nights In Ekohtiebo,” in which he referenced their friendship and Marley’s situation. In June 2020, Marley once again found himself in trouble with the authorities. He was detained by the Nigerian Police Force for violating the lockdown order imposed by President Muhammadu Buhari to contain the spread of COVID-19. Despite the interstate travel ban and social distancing rules, Marley performed at a concert in Abuja, leading to his arraignment before a mobile court.

More recently, on 13 February 2021, Marley’s Valentine’s Concert in Cameroon was canceled by the government authorities. The cancellation was attributed to jealousy among Cameroonian entertainers who were reportedly displeased with the influence of Nigerian music and musicians in Cameroon.

Finally, on 5 October 2022, Marley faced an assault allegation made by his signee, MohBad.

The accusation was accompanied by pictures and videos showing MohBad with visible injuries that required hospitalization. Marley dismissed the incident as a “family affair” and suggested that MohBad was under the influence when making the complaint.
