A heated incident on an Ibom Air flight has gone viral after a passenger clashed with a cabin crew member mid-operation, drawing swift airport security response – www.naijnaira.com reports.
Footage posted online shows the passenger in a physical exchange with the crew shortly after a Uyo–Lagos trip, as Aviation Security officers rushed to de-escalate the situation.
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority told Daily Trust that early findings suggest a violation of standard in-flight safety procedures.
“When cabin crew ask you to turn off your phone before takeoff or landing, simply comply,” NCAA’s Michael Achimugu warned.
He stressed that “passengers need to understand that they have responsibilities, not just rights.”
The altercation has fueled wider conversations about rising tensions between air passengers and airline staff in Nigeria.
The NCAA confirmed it is reviewing the case and will release further details after its investigation.
