Odunlade Adekola, a well-known Nollywood actor, has turned to prayer in response to the recent spate of deaths in the Nigerian movie industry.
The most recent death was that of actress Wunmi Olowokandi, who passed away on Monday evening.
This tragedy marks the fourth death in Nollywood in less than a week, following the deaths of St. Obi and Murphy Afolabi.
In an Instagram post, Odunlade prayed for God to prevent any more untimely deaths in the industry, writing, “Unquestionable you are the LORD. I pray God will close the door of untimely death in our industry and in the house of every one of us in Jesus name.”
It was announced on Sunday that Murphy Afolabi had passed away after reportedly falling and collapsing in his bathroom.
