Galatasaray vice president Ibrahim Hatipoglu has expressed growing belief that Victor Osimhen will remain at the Turkish club, despite strong interest from European giants, according to reports.

Osimhen, who scored 37 goals in 41 matches while on loan at Galatasaray last season, is still under contract with Napoli until 2026, with an option to extend until 2027. His impressive form has attracted attention from Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Juventus, all reportedly keen on securing his services this summer.

The Victor Osimhen transfer news has dominated headlines, but the striker has already turned down multiple proposals from Saudi side Al-Hilal, who were prepared to meet his salary expectations.

Despite competition, Galatasaray remain focused on securing a permanent Osimhen deal. The Turkish champions have entered advanced talks to keep the Nigerian forward.

“When they offered us Osimhen, we didn’t need a striker, but we signed him in two days,” Hatipoglu told AS via Sportmediaset.

Hatipoglu explained that Abdullah Kavukcu, head of transfers, is leading the process with Italian agent George Gardi. He added, “With each passing day, the chances of Osimhen staying at Galatasaray increase.”

Galatasaray remain calm even as Manchester United’s Osimhen target strategy reportedly involves offering Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee to Napoli as part of the deal to lower the transfer fee. Liverpool and Juventus are also actively pursuing the Nigerian star, increasing Liverpool Osimhen interest and Juventus Osimhen bid activity.

However, Galatasaray’s determination is clear.

“We are negotiating Osimhen, but there are offers from other teams. Galatasaray have also made an offer. The chances of Victor staying are increasing day by day, but the negotiations are long,” Hatipoglu said.

Victor Osimhen’s €75 million release clause applies only to clubs outside Italy, a factor that favors Premier League and Turkish clubs.

Hatipoglu reinforced Galatasaray’s position: “We have the budget to guarantee his permanence. It won’t be easy, but with each passing day, the chances of him staying at Galatasaray increase.”

The Nigerian striker scored 65 goals in 108 Serie A matches for Napoli, winning the league’s Golden Boot in the 2023–24 season. He carried that form into Turkey, finishing as the Super Lig’s top scorer and helping Galatasaray secure a domestic double.
