Bukayo Saka, the Arsenal football star, paid a visit to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the State House in Marina.
During the visit, Sanwo-Olu expressed his admiration for Saka and his pride in Arsenal’s inspiring run in the Premier League with a young team.
Saka, who was born to Nigerian parents in England, arrived in Lagos with a UK-based Arsenal fan.
Although he was eligible to represent Nigeria’s national team, Saka chose to play for England’s Three Lions instead.
He has made 26 appearances for the England national team and played a crucial role in Arsenal’s return to Champions League football in the 2021-2022 season.
During his visit, Saka presented Sanwo-Olu with a signed Arsenal shirt, and the governor expressed his commitment to promoting grassroots football in Lagos.
