Photos have emerged online showing the Nigerian military raiding an IPOB (Indigenous People of Biafra) camp in Asaba, Delta State.

The raid was a joint operation between the Nigerian Army and the Department of State Services, targeting the hideout of IPOB and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

According to a statement from the Director of Army Public Relations, the troops successfully overpowered the IPOB fighters and captured one of them.

They also recovered a number of firearms and ammunition from the hideout.

The Chief of Army Staff commended the troops for their efforts and urged them to continue working towards restoring peace and security in the region.
