An off-duty police officer, Mr. Mmutle, shot and killed his wife and her alleged lover who is 30 years old in South Africa.
The incident happened on Tuesday evening, March 14, 2023, at iKageleng in Zeerust, North West province.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone said the warrant officer shot them dead when he found them inside an apartment belonging to his wife’s friend allegedly having s3x.
After the shooting, he voluntarily surrendered himself to the police and handed over the weapon used for the crime.
Provincial police commissioner Lieutenant Sello Kwena condemned this incident and urged their employees to use Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) programme or other professional help rather than resorting to such acts of violence.
Photos seen on Facebook identified the officer as Mmutle.
