Seun Kuti, a popular Afrobeat singer, was recently arrested and appeared in a mug shot with handcuffs after a video surfaced of him assaulting a police officer.
The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, ordered his arrest and a full investigation into the incident.
Kuti was accompanied by senior lawyer Femi Falana when he appeared at the Ikeja police command.
The outcome of the visit is currently unknown, but a police source stated that Kuti is being taken to the State Criminal Intelligence Department in Panti, Yaba area of the state.
