Inter Milan have confirmed Romelu Lukaku’s one-season loan deal will end this summer and the Belgian forward will return to Chelsea and Graham Potter’s squad.
During his loan spell at the Nerazzurri, Lukaku has made 18 appearances, scoring five goals and providing one assist.
Despite reports of an agreement for Inter to extend the loan for a further year, Giuseppe Marotta has stated that Lukaku is set to rejoin Chelsea.
Potter himself remained cryptic when asked about what decision would be made concerning Lukaku’s future post-loan, but former Belgium national team coach Thierry Henry claimed that the striker did not want to go back to Stamford Bridge.
