Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has shed light on the multiple injury setbacks he has faced since joining the Premier League club.
Despite having a significant impact on the team’s recent victories, Partey has missed a total of 39 games due to seven periods of injury, which is quite an unusual number compared to his previous record at former club Atletico Madrid where he only missed seven games during his five-year tenure.
The Ghanaian international attributed these issues to adapting to a new league and working through some normal challenges that occur when transitioning from one football environment to another.
He maintains that despite the setbacks, he is always dedicated to helping the team in any way possible whenever he gets back on the pitch.
Partey’s absences prompted Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to make some important signings in January including Jorginho from Chelsea and Jakub Kiwior from Spezia, bolstering options in midfield and defense for the Gunners.
