APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, has revealed that the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, is doing well and will soon return to Nigeria.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today program, Morka disclosed that Tinubu is currently on a work rest in Europe, where he can get the needed rest without any disturbance.
Morka explained that Tinubu needed to take a break after the elections because of the energy he had expended during the campaigns.
He added that the President-elect would not have been able to take the necessary rest if he had stayed in Nigeria, as he would have been flanked by lobbyists who wanted one thing or the other.
According to Morka, Tinubu’s work rest is productive, as he is using the opportunity to reach out to heads of government and other levels of leadership of other countries that are vital to the agenda that he is bringing in his new government.
He stated that Tinubu is not sleeping in his bed, as he is in meetings regularly with all kinds of people who are traveling from other countries to see him preparatory to his inauguration.
Morka assured Nigerians that Tinubu is in good health and will be back in the country soon.
He reiterated that once he returns and is inaugurated on May 29, there will be no dulling, as he will be saddled with the responsibility of running a country as massive and complex as Nigeria.
It would be recalled that in March, Tinubu’s spokesman, Tunde Rahman, revealed that his principal traveled to Paris in France to rest and observe the lesser hajj.
However, there have been concerns about his health and whether he will be able to take up the mantle of leadership.
The news of Tinubu’s state of health and when he will return to Nigeria has been a topic of discussion among Nigerians, especially as the country is going through a period of economic, political and security challenges.
Many Nigerians are looking up to Tinubu to help steer the country in the right direction.
The APC has assured Nigerians that Tinubu is up to the task and is taking the necessary steps to ensure a smooth transition of power.
With the President-elect set to return to the country soon, many Nigerians will be looking forward to seeing what he has in store for the country.
