Senator Iyiola Omisore, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was reportedly denied entry into the emergency National Working Committee (NWC) meeting at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
The meeting was being chaired by Senator Abubakar Kyari, the Deputy National Chairman (North), in the absence of the party’s National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu. Omisore arrived at the secretariat to join the meeting but was not allowed in.
He left without speaking to reporters.
The meeting was attended by other NWC members and heightened security measures were in place at the secretariat.
Meetings are currently taking place across all organs of the party in response to the developments affecting the party’s national leadership.
Present at the meeting includes Kyari, Deputy National Chairman (South) Emma Enukwu, National Vice Chairman (North West) Salihu Lukman, and National Vice Chairman (North East) Salihu Mustapha.
Others are National Vice Chairman (North Central), Muazu Bawa; National Vice Chairman(South West), Isaac Kekemeke; National Vice Chairman (South East), Ejoroma Arodiogu and the Deputy National Secretary, Barrister Festus Fuanter.
