The Trade Union Congress (TUC) has decided to withdraw from the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) 2-day warning strike.

Despite the federal government’s plea, the NLC insisted on proceeding with the strike.

However, the TUC announced that it will no longer be participating in the strike action.

The TUC urged the NLC to continue dialogue with the government to address any issues that have been identified.

This decision comes after the TUC boycotted a meeting convened by the Labour Minister and ignored the government’s plea to avoid the strike.

In support of the NLC, the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has also declared a total lockdown of all courts nationwide during the strike.
