Chelsea’s chase for Victor Osimhen has taken a fresh turn with Saudi side Al Hilal and Serie A giants AC Milan ramping up efforts to sign the Nigerian forward this summer, according to French outlet L’Équipe.

After a stellar loan spell at Galatasaray, where Osimhen scored 37 goals and provided eight assists, the 26-year-old striker has re-emerged as one of the hottest properties in the transfer market. Napoli are now keen to resolve his future quickly, placing a reported £60 million price tag on their frontman.

Al Hilal, who previously came close to landing Osimhen, have renewed their interest following last summer’s failed deal. Talks had collapsed then, reportedly due to Napoli changing their valuation late in negotiations.

Meanwhile, AC Milan are also keen on Osimhen, especially with their ongoing talks with Al Hilal over a separate deal for left-back Theo Hernandez. The Italian club is believed to be raising funds and weighing up offers for both Osimhen and Al Hilal’s Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Al Hilal’s first bid for Hernandez reportedly fell short of Milan’s valuation, with an offer close to £12.6 million net. However, discussions are ongoing, and Milan could turn their attention to Osimhen if that deal concludes.

With Chelsea also firmly in the mix, new boss Enzo Maresca is eager to strengthen his squad’s attacking options. The Blues are close to finalising a £30 million deal for Liam Delap but are still pursuing a high-profile striker, especially with doubts around Christopher Nkunku’s future at the club.

When asked if Chelsea needed more depth up front, Maresca said: “100 per cent,” signalling his clear intent to bring in another number nine this summer.

Multiple Premier League clubs are monitoring the situation, but Chelsea remain one of the frontrunners. Securing Champions League football for next season has made Stamford Bridge a more attractive destination, though they face stiff competition from both the Saudi Pro League and Serie A.

With Napoli eager to close the deal swiftly and Osimhen attracting offers from multiple directions, the race is heating up—and Chelsea may need to act fast.
