Pep Guardiola was honest in his reaction to Manchester City’s shock defeat to Southampton in the Carabao Cup Quarter Final, admitting that his side had been outdone.
“The best team won,” he said. “They (Southampton) were better. We have to congratulate them – they deserved their place in the semi-finals.”
