Leicester City have been dealt a blow with midfielder Youri Tielemans set to miss the next six weeks of action due to an ankle injury.
Tielemans was forced off in their weekend defeat by Arsenal and was absent for Tuesday’s FA Cup loss to Blackburn Rovers.
Manager Brendan Rodgers said: “Sadly he’s done the ligaments in his ankle. He won’t be back before the international break.”
With Leicester sitting just three points above the relegation zone, this is an especially worrying period for Rodgers who acknowledged the need for determination and character:
“We’ve got a really important number of games now and the sole focus is now getting the best team we possibly can out every time we play and look to get the results…it’s going to be a fight for sure.”
