Barcelona will likely refuse to consider selling Frenkie de Jong as Manchester United remain keen on signing the Dutch midfielder.
De Jong has had a tumultuous year with his future up in the air at one point due to financial issues, but after winning over Xavi Hernandez and becoming a regular starter again, Barcelona have no interest in dealing away with the 25-year-old any time soon.
Manchester United were reportedly interested in signing him during the summer transfer window, but de Jong himself was adamant about staying with the Blaugrana to make an impact on Camp Nou which made him decide against leaving.
The Red Devils now need to move on and look for alternatives that would satisfy their team needs, most notably linked recently being Enzo Fernandez of Argentina.
As for Frenkie de Jong though, he looks destined to stay with Barcelona and carry on elevating his performances there in order to become a legacy at the Spanish club.
