Born in Accra, John is a Ghanaian professional football player who started his career at Ghanaian club Heart of Lions. The 6 ft 1 defender currently plays for Al-Fayha in Saudi Arabia. He has 6 goals in 70 caps for the Black Stars of Ghana. He has a net worth of about $1.7 million.

Afriyie began his professional career at Palermo scoring no goals in his two years at the club. He is one of the richest footballers in Ghana.
