Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti recently opened up about his initial attraction to his wife, Yetunde, even though he was already in a relationship at the time.
The 41-year-old musician shared this revelation during an interview on the Your View breakfast show on TVC, where he and his wife were featured as guests.
When asked about when he started seeing his wife differently, considering their age difference,
Seun candidly admitted, “I had a girlfriend, but when I met her, I was kinda attracted to her.” Yetunde playfully interrupted, reminding him of her presence during that time.
She explained, “I played hard to get. I tried, at that point, I think I was seeing someone he knew.” Seun chimed in, admitting that he was unaware of the full story.
He said, “I was in the blind here, oh! Me, I was toasting her, not knowing she was seeing someone I knew, and that’s why she was playing hard to get.”
Seun and Yetunde have been together for over 15 years, with their daughter Adara recently celebrating her ninth birthday in December 2023.
