Garnacho Set for Chelsea Switch as Manchester United Lower Asking Price

According to reports in Argentina, Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho is favoring a move to Chelsea over Napoli.

As the January transfer window progresses, this young talent is under considerable scrutiny, especially after Napoli had an initial bid rejected for him.

Manchester United’s management initially sought a hefty £70 million for the 20-year-old, signaling their intention to retain his services.

Chelsea is exploring the possibility of signing Garnacho before the transfer window closes.

Notably, the winger’s two agents were spotted at Stamford Bridge on Monday night, watching as Chelsea secured a 3-1 victory over Wolves.

This has fueled speculation regarding Garnacho’s potential transfer, though no official offer from Chelsea has yet materialized.

Reports suggest that Garnacho would prefer to continue his career in the Premier League, indicating that he may await Chelsea’s move before making a final decision.

United recently held additional talks with Napoli, and reports from Italy indicate that the Premier League club has reduced its asking price to €65 million (£54.8 million).

However, Garnacho is said to prefer staying in the Premier League, although Chelsea has yet to make a formal offer to United.

Garnacho has not made a final decision on his future, and his move will depend on whether Chelsea makes a concrete offer.

Chelsea has also shown interest in Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel, but the German club is unwilling to sell the 19-year-old.

Another winger on Chelsea’s radar is Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens, although they face competition from Bayern Munich for the 20-year-old.
