Actor Nkem Owoh has stated his reason for not joining politics, saying he might become afraid and get infected by the ‘disease’ affecting the Nigerian political system.
Speaking to Midweek Entertainment, Owoh said being involved in politics could make him scared, and that he prefers using his personality to make people happy.
He added that although there are good people working in the political sphere, he does not want to be infected by the ‘disease’ of the system.
Regarding the upcoming elections, Owoh said he would only vote and that soon, he sees changes coming due to rumbles from citizens.
He concluded by noting that policymakers have started recognising and giving support to Nollywood and its practitioners – something which had been a challenge for many years.
