Injury Update: Mbappe Set To Miss First Leg Of UCL Clash Against Bayern Munich
Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that ace striker Kylian Mbappe will be out of action for the club’s Champions League round of 16 first leg against Bayern Munich due to a thigh injury.
The 23-year-old suffered the injury during PSG’s Ligue 1 game against Montpellier, and subsequently had to exit the match in the 21st minute.
An official statement has now revealed that Mbappe is expected to require three weeks off as he recovers from his left bicep femoral injury.
Moreover, Sergio Ramos also left Wednesday’s 3-1 win with an adductor injury and will await further tests on Friday to know more about his condition.
Neymar, who was out of the Montpellier game due to muscle tightness, is still recovering from an ankle issue sustained last year and furthermore won’t be fit for Saturday’s encounter with Toulouse.
PSG fans will hope that Mbappe can recover in time for their side’s second-leg meeting with Bayern on March 8th.
