Recently, Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr FC, a Saudi Arabian team, after his contract with Manchester United was terminated.
The move meant that the football star had to comply with the nation’s marriage law, which prohibits couples from living together unless married.
In order to make it possible for Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez to live together while in Saudi Arabia, an amendment has been made to the marriage law.
According to Sport, the couple will not be punished for breaking this rule.
On why he chose Al Nassr, Ronaldo said he wanted to help with the development of football in the region and be a mentor for younger generation there.
He also mentioned wanting the challenge of playing with a new club after winning all there is in Europe.
A whopping £173M per year deal has made Ronaldo the highest paid footballer in the world earned him an Arabian League title, making nine times they have won it.
